The City of Kearney, Missouri will hold a public hearing at Kearney City Hall on Monday, September 18th, at 6:30pm to receive public comments regarding proposed changes to the City’s parking restriction ordinance.
The city’s current parking restriction ordinance has been in effect since 1984 ( Current Ordinance) and is proposed to be updated to alleviate traffic and public safety concerns.
The Board of Aldermen would like to hear your comments regarding the proposed ordinance. Please attend the public hearing on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 6:30pm to share your comments with the Kearney Board of Aldermen and the Mayor. If you cannot attend the public hearing, you may email your comments to Sheila Ernzen at sernzen@kearneymo.us, no later than Friday, September 15, 2023 ,so that they can be read during the Public Hearing.

As authorized by and in accordance with Section 355.010 of this Title, it shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor vehicle to stop, stand or park said motor vehicle at any one time or instance or location, as designated herein, except when necessary to avoid a conflict with the directions of a Police Officer or traffic control sign or signal.
