Missouri Housing Assistance Programs

A guide to programs and organizations offering housing assistance in Missouri.

Habitat for Humanity

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses.

Your local affiliate can give you information on the availability, size, costs and sweat-equity requirements for Habitat houses in your area, as well as information on the application process. To contact the Habitat affiliate nearest you, use their search engine: www.habitat.org/local.

The Housing Assistance Program

The Housing Assistance Program (HAP) serves low income and disabled people living in the Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area.
